The OSLC Bikes for Nicaragua Program was a charity OLSC members enthusiastically participated in from 2017-2019, donating many dozens of bicycles to disadvantaged youth in Nicaragua over the three year span. Due to the COVID-19 protocols, the 2020 and 2021 bike collections were cancelled, and subsequently the program was sunset.

OSLC reached out to our friends, families, neighbors, and coworkers, asking them to help us collect bicycles to benefit the Casa Bernabe ministry in Nicaragua. The 2019 collection took place on Sunday, September 22nd. We’re pleased to report that in 2019, 44 bikes were collected. Thanks to all who contributed! View the photos.

Ways OSLC Members Have Contributed:

Brought bikes to donate;
Brought tools [we removed pedals before shipping];
Brought some muscle [used the tools; loaded the bikes];
Shared their stories of helping people locally or globally;
Shared this information with friends and neighbors;
Prayed for the Casa Bernabe mission and the lives they touch.
